But I wish I could find a used one & save money . Bed covers are so expensive. Any ideas where I could find a used one? No luck on Craig’s List yet .

Any regional/local forums for your truck? Facebook marketplace? I picked up one for my Taco on the local forums. Other places that have them are places that sell toppers. A lot of people replace tonneaus with a camper shell.

I got my Tyger tri-fold on sale on Amazon for $180. Doesn’t leak and has held up pretty well for two years now.

FB Marketplace has a lot of action on it these days.

As a general rule of thumb, soft bed covers are much cheaper than hard bed covers.

Try Facebook. Look around on the marketplace or just in the feeds of your friends, maybe put out a feeler. There are a surprising amount of people trying to sell their stuff to just get it out of their way.

They are a rip off. Look on offer up maybe? I’m thinking of buying a pe ragon cover. Same price as quality trifolds.

Good tip, thanks. M aybe a soft one will do.

If you get snow by you, how does it hold up with 6-8"  of overnight snow on it? I imagine I’d just have to be vigilant about clearing aany now buildup.

Are custom diy bed covers a thing? Especially if you planned on leaving it on most of the time, it's ought to be easy to make a big solid piece of wood or something to just cover the bed.

Ooh, I like that one. Maybe I shouldn't cheap out.

I’ve never seen many for sale used, but soft roll up covers with a some support bows aren’t terribly expensive new.

They aren’t cheap but hold up better than the folding ones. I figure if I ever sell the truck, I could take it off, sell separately and recoupe $400 -500 pretty easil y. $300-400 for several years of use doesn’t sound so bad.

Not sure about the snow, but t he benefit of the cheap, soft tonneau is that they’re so light and easy to completely remove. I can have mine completely off in like 5 minutes - very nice when you need to use the whole bed from time to time.

Yes it will hold up well. It’s quite rigid and there are some good braces running across the middle pieces.
